Synaptica Central is built on Drupal 's open source version 6 because of it's robust RDF and semantic technologies support - which we hope to use in the future to demonstrate some key themes around vocabulary management and semantic technologies.
We have other features in mind to launch like user forums and we look forward to having you join us as we develop the site and make it useful to the whole community!

Re: Easily intimidated
Daniela Barbosa (not verified) — August 31, 2008 - 7:32pmThank you for your comment- we hope that this will be a place for 'experts' as well as you and others who might consider the topic intimidating to learn more about the subject of controlled vocabularies, metadata and the technologies and practices that drive innovation in the space. But keep us honest - feedback and questions are always appreciated!
Easily intimidated
CRM Guru (not verified) — August 27, 2008 - 1:05pmAs soon as I begin to dive into Synaptica - and topics of like nature - it feels very intimidating. Though the "devil is in the details" - delivering both a technical message, along with information that is easily digestible I believe will support in evangelizing this awesome technology going forward.
